Mr Youssef Onyalla is a South Sudanese archaeologist, who studied archaeology at the Lebanese University in Beirut. He has worked with the international committee of the Red Cross in Juba as relief administrator, and organized cultural festivals during the celebrations of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA). He started the collection of archive materials for the establishment of the South Sudan National Archives, of which he is the current Acting Director General. He attended conferences from Eastern Africa Regional Branch Council on Archives (EARBCA) in Kenya, Malawi, and the 36th UNESCO General Conference in Paris, France. He also attended meetings on the South Sudan museums network in Oxford, United Kingdom, as well as a UNESCO Memory of the World training in Namibia, among others.
