A Quadrennial Periodic Reporting (QPR) training was conducted by UNESCO,Juba Office in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Museums and National Heritage, South Sudan for three days from 26-28 August 2020 involving the National Team for the report. The team included government officials and members of civil societies organizations . The aims was to collect data and to prepare South Sudan Periodic report and development of the Copyright Policy by engaging the international expert in the Field of Copyright and Intellectual Property.
South Sudan has a draft of National Culture Policy developed by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports by than and now the ministry is divided into two, Ministry of Culture, Museums and National Heritage, responding for heritage and the Ministry of Youth and Sports with the youth affairs. The National Culture Policy is on its way to the parliament to be passed into law with other measures that includes

All these policies are in process to get light as the State Party age is 9 years old with its independent in July 9th 2011.
All these challenges are presented to the Intergovernmental Committee and the Conference Parties for acknowledgment.
Therefore, 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions and its great journey toward the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) just started with a degree of awareness on addressing the concerns on legal frameworks as highlighted above.
Hence, South Sudan is in the spirit of the Convention of cooperation with other State Parties on addressing the above tasks and move forward.
