Arts University Network (RUA)
Create an international network of universities aimed at building paradigms which will recognise and value the specificity of artistic creation, its linkage with university professional training in the arts and its role in knowledge formation.
Three projects are developed: two research projects, namely curricular design in arts education, and quality and accreditation in university training in the arts; and a third project aimed at creating a network of arts libraries.
RUA has a governing board elected by the members of the Network and it is constituted by representatives designated and ratified by the presidency of the Network.
Increase in the academic cooperation between participating institutions.
Development of actions aimed at improving the preparation of the teaching staff.
Exchange of information to update the library funds and donation of editorial funds to enrich library holdings in academic institutions belonging to the network.
Increase in the mobility of students and teachers between participating institutions.
The programme does not operate with additional financial resources. It works with the budgeted resources of each institution that is a member of the network.
An international network of universities was created to build paradigms with sufficient capacity and scope to evaluate the specificity of artistic creation, its linkage with university professional training in the arts and its role in knowledge formation. Three projects are undertaken, two relative to research, namely curricular design in the arts, and quality and accreditation in university training in the arts, and a third project aimed at forming a network of arts libraries.
The RUA has a governing board elected by the members of the Network and constituted by representatives from nine universities. The University of the Arts has been designated and ratified in the presidency of the Network.
