The Alola foundation conducted an economic empowerment program, aims to increase the income of women artists and at the same time promote Timorese culture. In 2018 training and improving product quality program were successfully implemented, specifically using natural color in traditional manufacturing, product diversification and basic marketing education for twenty-one (21) participants. In addition, through the Economic Empowerment Program, Alola Foundation host annually two market event, Mid-fair and Christmas Fair, where each fair is held during two days at Alola Foundation Office. This initiative accumulates artists from all municipalities, providing a space to sell their local product, such as traditional textile, neckerchief, ceramic, toys, plastics recycling, woman accessories and traditional soap, to national and international consumers.

Reported achievements include;
1. a hundred and forty (140) women from seven municipalities are trained on product diversification and development;
2. eighteen artistic groups are trained on improvement the quality of cultural products, particularly on traditional textile,

3. several artistic groups, represented by five women and one man, have accessed to the international marketing event
on promoting the Timorese folklore;
4. a documentary was produced on utilizing the natural color (with duration of 45 minutes); and
5. participated in two interview programs on the process of development Traditional textile of Tais;
