An international conference on Financing Creativity, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports was held in Athens in February 2014. The Conference was addressed to central and local government agencies, banks, chambers of commerce and professional organizations, universities, venture capital companies and creative industries, artists and culture professionals, cultural institutions, NGOs etc. The goal set by the Ministry was the promotion of and support for the cultural and creative industries as agents of economic and social development.
The Hellenic Copyright Organization (OPI) organized an international conference on "Copyright and the Digital Agenda for Europe: Current Regulations and Challenges for the Future" and social development.
In the framework of synergies between contemporary culture and the cultural heritage, the Ministry of Culture organized an exhibition in Brussels (January-April 2014), as part of Greece’s EU Presidency, entitled “Nautilus: Navigating Greece”, where ancient artifacts and contemporary Greek art were brought together in a creative dialogue.
