Objectifs clefs de la mesure:
The main objectives are to provide appropriate protection to the Namibian copyright holders, as well as to collect and distribute royaltiees, nationally and internationally. More specifically to:
- to collect and distribute of royalties to members;
- to register all songwriters, composers and publishers of music;
- to monitor, control music users and issue copyright Music License;
- To create a conducive environment of rights administration/ management for members;
- To prevent and defend against copyright violation (piracy) of all members;
- To educate and inform members on their rights; and
- To advise the (State) Government organs, Ministries, Agencies and other national institutions on matters related to copyright.

The expected results are:
- Copyright and performers’ rights to artists and creators protected;

- Clear measures on royalty calculations and pay outs instituted; and
- provision of registration for musical creations in the country.
Ressources financières allouées à la mise en œuvre de la mesure:
NASCAM financial resources are from the collection of license fees, while BIPA is full funded by government and resorts under the Ministry responsible for Trade.
