2- Lower Saxony: 2015 to 2016 participatory development of inter- and transcultural funding recommendations as part of the cultural development concept on the basis of the study 1. a) Musik macht Heimat (Music makes a home): Interactive knowledge platform about musical projects by, with, and for refugees (since October 2015),
b) Volunteer initiative Welcomegrooves – refugees learn German with music (since 2015)
4 - Heimatklänge – musikalische Weltreise (Sounds of home – touring the world with music) in the district and city of Marburg-Biedenkopf, 2014 to 2015.
This example from Hesse represents numerous comparable local refugee projects in many locations.

3- a) German Music Information Centre: 150 projects identified in 3 months (October to December 2015), 30 per cent of which were projects to sing and make music together, 30 per cent concerts and musical theatre, 25 per cent pro bono musical instruction, instrument donations, music therapy, etc.
b) Welcomegrooves: 6 musical language lessons, translated into 28 languages
4- Heimatklänge: Noticeably bolstering participants’ joie de vivre and confidence, reviving energy – positive change in overall behaviour, Challenge: very poor language skills

Ressources financières allouées à la mise en œuvre de la mesure:

1- Baden-Württemberg:
a) 400,000 EUR in annual funding, maximum of 50,000 EUR per project
b) 250,000 EUR in annual funding, maximum of 15,000 EUR per project
2- Lower Saxony: 2011 to 2015 80,000 EUR for the study and four regional intercultural forums
3- German Music Information Centre: From institutional resources
4- 22,000 EUR in federal funding (“Culture is Strength” programme of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research), distributed by the Bundesvereinigung Soziokultureller Zentren (Federal Association of Sociocultural Centres)
