Short description: 
I am an International Human Rights Educator, Advocate & Attorney who works with a number of NGOs on human rights and sustainable development issues. My major areas of expertise are related to international economic, social and cultural rights; the right to development and the Sustainable Development goals; and diversity, equity and inclusion. I spent 38 years as a law professor teaching basic courses in contracts and international and comparative law as well as specialized courses/seminars in international organizations and human rights. I retired in 2017 as a full-time law professor to devote more time to my interdisciplinary work with civil society organizations including the American Friends Service Committee, the US Human Rights Network(USHRN) and the Society of Law Teachers Human Rights Committee. I particularly would like to join the Inclusive Policy Lab at this time in connection with my current work related to the human rights and sustainable development needs of People of African Descent(PAD) especially during the International Decade. Inter Alia, I am a member of the Advocacy for Africa (ADNA) Pan African Working Group which is responsible for coordinating ADNA's work relating to multilateral and regional forums including UN institutions and actions such as the establishment of the Permanent Forum on PAD and a draft declaration on the human rights of PAD.

Having Ph.D. degree in Educational Management, Supervision, Planning, and Economics from Hacettepe University in Ankara, I am Associate Professor in the field of Educational Management in Turkey. Conducting two European Union school projects I observed various school systems in the European Countries, and received eTwinning Label award. During the years 2003-2013 I was school teacher, participated in various professional development activities mainly on improving the school education, project development, creativity, and socio-psychological issues in Turkey and EU countries. I am also member of scientific advisory committees of several international conferences, and editorial board member of two international refereed journals. Along with the author of a Turkish book written on theoretical issues on school management, and the many articles published in both international and national journals, I am mainly interested in the research areas of strategic planning, international school leadership, ethics in education, school policies and implementations, international dimension and indicators in education

Professor Azzopardi is an economist and lectures International Economics at the University of Malta. Her main areas of interest are trade, the labour market, migration, social policy and small states.. She has conducted research for several regional and international institutions, including the EU, CEDEFOP, EIGE, the Commonwealth Secretariat, United Nations Research Institute for Social Development, and the World Bank.
