I am currently a research assistant for the Gender Institute at Royal Holloway, University of London. The Institute is a hub for the study, teaching, learning and activism surrounding gender and sexuality. I am also a recent MA graduate in Politics and IR from the University of Sheffield, specialising in feminist security studies. Additionally, I hold a BA in History from the UoS.

I am a social entrepreneur in India and a doctoral researcher at the University of Bath. My work over the last decade has had two primary objectives. First, engaging marginalised communities in representing their voices in development and policy circles. Second, working on policy/programmatic solutions that empower such communities with the tools and resources to engage more meaningfully and freely in society. I have co-founded two social enterprises working on life skills education and community mobilisation for children across socioeconomic strata and geographies in North India. My doctoral research is exploring the experiences of (un)freedom and (in)dignity with those involved in indecent work in South India, and further the role a Basic Income can play as an effective policy tool for enhancing their voice. I am also involved in activism and advocacy around Basic Income in India and the UK, and grassroots democracy and civic action.

Possess M. S Degree in Project Management and pursuing Ph.D studies. Expert on Cooperatives. Planned, executed and monitored small scale development projects through cooperative societies in different districts of Punjab(Pakistan). Visiting faculty at Cooperative Training College and some other capacity building institutions. Attended 3 international conferences on Cooperatives, sustainable rural development and participatory community development. 4 papers published so far.
