Cultural Development in Fuzhou, China

Basi Cultural Project September 2018 Launch in Fuzhou, China

The “Basi Cultural Development” project was successfully launched on 13 September 2018 in the city of Fuzhou, China.  Organized in close collaboration with the Chinese government, the project explores the innovation and integration of traditional Chinese heritage with international forces, with “Basi” the panda, serving as the cultural symbol.  Considered a global, intercultural communication platform, the ultimate goal of the initiative is to diffuse traditional Chinese wisdom throughout regions along the Silk Roads, and beyond.

In the rapidly evolving globalized community, China has continued to play an essential role in the current dialogue involving the importance of cultural heritage in the exchange of goods, ideas, technologies, and savoir-faire along the Silk Roads.  Some of the values integral to diversity, the promotion of peace, and sustainable development include “harmony with variety”, and “peace comes first”.  These initiatives will foster positive dialogue, encourage mutual understanding, and promote peace worldwide.
