In a world that often races forward, it’s easy to forget where we came from. But understanding our past, honoring our heritage, and learning from the stories of those who came before us is what gives us a sense of purpose and direction for the future. This is why we’ve come together to launch the “Chalo Museum Chalein – Responsible Citizenship Challenge,” a global initiative on World Museum Day 2025. This isn’t just about stepping into a museum—it’s about stepping into the heart of our shared history, embracing the values of responsible citizenship, and becoming active participants in preserving what matters most. Lately, we’ve seen fewer and fewer people walking through the doors of museums, places that hold the keys to understanding who we are and where we come from. This is a trend we can no longer ignore. It’s not just about numbers or statistics; it’s about a moral duty- our duty to appreciate, protect, and pass on the beauty of our collective past.
