Short description:
I am a full Professor of Organizational Economics at LMU Munich.
Since the fall of 2019 I am also Head of Department.
I served as director of the Munich Graduate School of Economics (MGSE) from 2013-2019.
Prior to my current appointment, I held chairs in Organizational Economics at the Universities of Konstanz and Würzburg, an assistant professor position at LMU Munich, a PostDoc Position at Harvard (joint appointment Economics Department and HBS), a PostDoc Position at University College London (ELSE) and have spent terms as a visiting scholar at the Stanford GSB and the Kellogg School of Management.
My research interests are in Organizational Economics, Industrial Organization, Contract Theory, Behavioral Economics, and Political Economics.
Short description:
I am a Professor of Economics at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Director of the Health Economics and Analytics Lab (HEAL). My research leverages large-scale data analytics to examine contemporary health policy issues with a focus on: 1) disparities in utilization, 2) increasing access to care to vulnerable populations, 3) understanding how financial incentives and changes in technology can influence the behaviors of payers, medical providers, and patients.
