Ruby Pappoe holds a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is a Teaching Assistant Professor in Technical Writing at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she teaches technical and professional communication, digital writing, and composition. Her research is situated at the intersections of cultural rhetorics, visual communication, and technology design. She is currently exploring how Africans and African identity are represented in digital and visual spaces.
