Brittany Harker Martin is an Arts Educator (BEd.) with a PhD in Business. She is specialized in teaching art, dance, drama, literature and music, K-9 plus ways to integrate these arts into the core subjects). She is a tenured, Associate Professor of Education at the University of Calgary and her portfolio includes classroom teaching, consulting services, and leadership roles (managerial & research). Her collaborators include: Stanford’s Gardner Centre, Rozsa Foundation, AB Health Services, Creative Kids Museum, Spark Science Centre, Royal Conservatory & Harvard’s Leadership Institute.

I am now a PhD candidate majoring in comparative political economy, and am interested in policy-making process and East Asian politics studies. Prior to studying in the graduate school, I was an assistant researcher in a prestigious think tank and has long been conducing research focusing on issues relevant to comparative politics and regional studies. I am keenly to exchange ideas and learn more from peers, scholars, and people from varieties of disciplines.

My work is mainly in the area of air quality; including source apportionment and developing tools to evaluate clean air interventions; I am also interested in general earth system science including emission of airborne particles and their impacts on the clouds and climate, as well as on the ocean ecosystems.
